Edward DeRobertis elected to the National Academy of Sciences

Congratulations to Dr. Edward DeRobertis, who was elected to the National Academy of Sciences! This year, the National Academy of Sciences announced the election of 84 new members and 21 foreign associates from14 countries in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. We are proud to announce that Dr. DeRobertis a distinguished professor in the department of Biological Chemistry, is one of the newly elected members. Dr. DeRobertis is the fifth member in the Department of Biological Chemistry who has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences. The others include Dr. Elizabeth Neufeld (1977), Dr. David Eisenberg (1989), Dr. Michael Grunstien (2008) and Dr. Larry Zipursky (2009).
