Oversee operation of BRI Microscopic Techniques and Electron Microscopy Core Facilities. Provide teaching and supervision in the areas of histological technology, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, research methods, experimental design-related problem solving, laboratory equipment, and other areas within the purview of the Core Facility, to scientific investigators, postdocs, students, and other Core Facility users. Major duties include teaching, supervision, technical support, laboratory management, project management, space utilization, and consultation on issues related to research projects and methodology. Perform laboratory tasks and maintain a professional environment for the facility. Train and supervise students and less trained staff in proper protocols and safety procedures required in the Core. Keep records of procedures and training performed. Establish and implement laboratory safety practices as required by EH&S.
