"Welcome to the Department of Biological Chemistry website. Our mission is to educate
students and postdocs to become independent scientists and scholars, and to conduct highly
innovative basic and translational research. Our faculty has made fundamental contributions
to cell and molecular biology including advances in stem cell biology, cancer, development,
protein structure, computational biology and neurobiology. Members of our faculty have
received many honors including the Lasker Prize and membership in the National Academy of
Sciences."
