The characterization of Stem and Progenitor Cell origins, function, differentiation, and death is at the core of tissue development. Faculty in biological chemistry study this problem at all levels, from genetic and molecular characterization of their cell biology in model systems to translational research aimed toward the use of Stem Cells in r  egenerative therapies.
